Guzman Y Gomez, Goodna

Crafted Spaces delivered a full new-build fitout for Guzman y Gomez's Goodna restaurant, taking the site from shell through to a fully operational, trade-ready QSR. Scope covered kitchen fit-out, indoor and outdoor dining, counter and service areas, drive-thru integration and the external signage tower, plus site and services coordination throughout, all delivered to GYG's national brand and finish standard, with a single point of contact managing the build from mobilisation through to practical completion.

A seven-day delay from Queensland Urban Utilities (QUU), affecting the site's essential services connection, threatened the program at a critical stage of the build. With trades scheduled tightly around that connection, an authority delay outside Crafted Spaces' control called for careful resequencing to protect the completion date without compromising quality, safety or passing any cost impact on to the client.

Crafted Spaces resequenced trades and reallocated resources to keep internal fit-out, kitchen installation and finishes progressing in parallel while the QUU connection was resolved, rather than standing the site down. Proactive communication with GYG and close coordination with QUU kept the client informed at every stage, protecting both program and budget certainty right through to a trade-ready handover.

Practical completion was achieved on 23 June 2026, with the project delivered on budget and finished to GYG's brand standard, ready to trade. The result reflects Crafted Spaces' ability to absorb an external authority delay without compromising cost certainty or quality, protecting the client's outcome and the opening date from start to finish.
